Collage/sketeches for Birds East Mural
The first phase of the installation happens this weekend. Followed by a few late nights hanging out at the space. I’m pretty excited about this project. it’s the most imagery i’ve ever generated for one thing. i’ll be posting tons of process photos along the way. and of course i’ll be ducking into shangri la too.
Social Series “Series”
i’m digging the main image. it’s actually a straight-up scan of a viking figurine my dad found in my great uncle’s basement. it’s this cheap 9” plastic statue. it fucking rules though. i’ll put a pic of it up.
i think i’m going to update the type on the bottom. right now it’s the same as last year’s poster so it feels a little lazy to use it again. i’ll probably keep the type layout the same, just update the style of the type used.
A new Misprint sticker design. Lovingly referencing my personal hero, Jan “Snakecharmer” Tschichold, and a design of his that shows his hatred for center justification. If I ever get a neck tat, this would be it.
I’m working on an art/mural installation for the new Birds Barbershop on the eastside. Here’s some hand-traced type elements that will be featured in the space.
